Harrowing images America will never forget. And for the residents of Newtown, the emotions are far greater. One year ago today, a gunman opened fire in Sandy Hook Elementary School - killing 20 children and six adults. Bells rang in Newtown to honor those killed... as residents quietly marked the anniversary, requesting media to keep their distance. For many, time has done little to ease the loss.
