Make sure you've already watched Part 1 on "How to Crochet an Owl" before starting this video. This is PART 2. The crochet pattern used for this cute crocheted owl is by Ana Clerc, and can be found on Ravelry at http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/owls-two-ways-crochet - I don't follow the pattern to the letter, but that's the beauty of it: you don't have to! In Part 2 of making an owl, we'll be using the single crochet to build the height of our owl. Then, we'll do the fun stuff...the face and finishing him with stuffing. The awesome leather buttons used on this crocheted owl are from http://lotsofbuttons.com I have made more than my share of stuffed owls in the last few years ( you can peek at a needle-felted on I did at http://inspirewireblog.com/homemade-gifts-under-5/ ), because they get rave reviews from friends and family. They are soft and sweet, and people just love little fat, crocheted owls! Plus, there are so many fun options when it comes to styling them....color, texture, face (buttons, felt, needle felting, embroidery, fabric, etc), size. These owls have a ton of versatility, which is just what I like in a design. This is definitely a beginner crochet project, so please give it a try! :)
