I stumbled upon this old structure nestled in a grove of trees along a hillside on Riverside Drive near Griggs Dam. This is a stone amphitheater that once hosted weddings and operettas. The city built it in the late 1920s. But those days are gone. The structure was fenced off more than 6 years ago to keep people from climbing its cracked sections. Based on projections, the city will need between $60-$100k to restore this structure. In late 2012, they had $30K towards the project. It could once again be used as a backdrop for weddings and concerts if we can get the city to restore the structure. Filmed on Location: Griggs Amphitheatre -- Columbus Ohio.
