Families of the dead mourned their loved ones today (October 4), the third day after a deadly ferry crash killed 38 people.A traditional Daoist ritual was performed on the pier where many were taken after the accident.Families of the crash victims ferried out to the site of the crash.In accordance with traditional practices, the families threw paper money and paper flowers over the spot where the collision took place. This is meant to help their loved ones in the afterlife.Monday’s crash was the deadliest maritime accident in Hong Kong in recent years.The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but crewmembers on both ships have been arrested for endangering their passengers' safety.[Judy Li, Resident living near Pier]:"I was quite shocked that an incident like this could happen in Hong Kong. Why did so many people die? I have some doubts and questions. But after I have calmed down, I realize that there is very little we can do. I can only pray for the dead and their families.
