Emory Dance faculty member Anna Leo talks about the process of creating her piece "Warrior Woman,'" a dance solo that translates the poetry pantoum form into movement. The solo is performed by Bridget Roosa, Director of Dance at Agnes Scott College. (September 6, 2011, Dance Studio, Schwartz Center for Performing Arts) Emory's "Dance in Progress" series is an ongoing sharing of various stages of the choreographic process. Choreographers may present after performances, sharing their findings and illuminations; or while they are living the dynamic, chaotic process of crafting and discovering; or during the initial, impulsive cultivation of concepts, thoughts, images, and movement.
