Wendell Potter worked in the insurance industry for 20 years. He worked for two of the largest for–profit insurance companies in the country. He helped defeat President Clinton's attempt at health reform. But by the time President Obama started his campaign for health reform, Wendell Potter couldn't fight that battle again. He was uncomfortable working for an industry that he thought was fighting to make health care worse.

Potter walked away from the industry in May 2008, and started working against the insurance companies. He exposes the public relations and lobbying tactics of the corporations as a former insider. He recently wrote "Deadly Spin: An Insurance Company Insider Speaks Out on How Corporate PR Is Killing Health Care and Deceiving Americans."

Wendell Potter came to Town Hall Seattle on December 8, 2010.
