'Ruined':The Pulitzer Prize winning play for drama last year was called 'Ruined.' It's set in an African brothel in the crossfire of the war–torn Democratic Republic of Congo. 'Ruined' opens at the Intiman Theater tomorrow. We'll hear from the playwright Lynn Nottage, a MacArthur 'Genius' Fellowship winner.

Miner:Fidele Musafiri is a freelance miner in lawless eastern Congo. He barely makes a living mining coltan, a high–demand mineral found in cell phones and laptops. The Congo has 80 percent of the world's coltan reserves, but the industry is corrupt and violent. Military factions vie for control of the mines. As Fidele Musafiri hammers away, the soldiers are never too far behind. This story is from the series "Working," produced by Homelands Productions in collaboration with Marketplace Radio.
